P/T TEMPORARY PUBLIC WORKS HELP – BUENA VISTA TOWNSHIP, Atlantic County NJ, is seeking two (2) part-time temporary public works help for 2017, $15 per hour, not to exceed 28 hours per week, no health benefits. Duties to include assisting in the operation, maintenance and repair in the Department of Public Works. To perform routine work pertaining to the construction, maintenance, and repair and cleaning of streets, snow removal, parks and playgrounds, public facilities, leaf, brush, leaf/brush collection, and any other duties as assigned. Applicants must possess a valid New Jersey driver’s license and have a clean driving history (CDL is preferred). A minimum of a high school diploma (or equivalent), as well as the ability to read, write, speak, understand, and communicate in English sufficiently to perform duties of this position is required. Knowledge and experience with the varieties types of tools used in maintenance and repair of equipment and road maintenance equipment preferred. Heavy manual laborer in adverse weather conditions required. Residents will receive preference. These are Clean Community Positions.
